We have the high and wonderful priviledge of beginning to homeschool our children this year. It is exciting and pleasurable to make the transition from the informal learning our daughter has excelled at for five years into the more structured form of purposeful education. Our younger girls participate in schooling activities now that Big Sister is in school every morning. The 2 year old is better at coloring and doing worksheets than the 5 year old. (Isn't it a joy to see the differences develop!) Our youngest likes the music and dancing and the nature walks best, though she does enjoy a book or two before lunch. Several drool soaked children's books attest to it. Of most interest to you are these links and summaries for information we have found most helpful in planning, starting and doing Homeschool very cheaply: |
